As my first semester comes to an end, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of the incredible experiences, achievements, and learning opportunities I’ve had -
1. Larsen Leaders Academy : This experience has been instrumental in helping me refine my professional presence, from resume workshops to networking events. A special shoutout to my mentor, Iñigo Hernandez—more of a friend than a mentor, which I believe is how it should be! His guidance has been invaluable in navigating my first semester.
2. PurdueTHINK : My favorite club at Purdue, hands down! This semester, I had the privilege of working with the Community Assistance and Resources for Engineering Students (CARES) Hub at Purdue, which focuses on mental health and well-being for engineering students. Our project involved developing comprehensive strategies for marketing, data analytics, and long-term growth for CARES Hub. A big thank you to my Project Manager, Caroline Bodnar, for her support, and my amazing team for their collaboration. Kudos to Rachel Meuret for her outstanding leadership(and for convincing me to join THINK!!), which made the club not just productive but fun!
3. Daniels Leads : I attended this event through PurdueTHINK, where I got the chance to hear about leadership from industry giants like:
Jason Girzadas (CEO of Deloitte)
John Krenicki (Operating Partner at Clayton, Dubilier & Rice and former President/CEO of GE Energy)
Greg Hayes (Executive Chairman of RTX Corporation).
Thank you, Rachel Meuret, for inviting me to such an inspiring event!
4. PMP : A short but sweet experience! In the first half of the semester, I led a team of five on a business analytics project. Unfortunately, I had to step back due to a packed schedule, but I’m grateful for the opportunity.
5. Intramural Soccer : Being part of two soccer teams—one on the IM fields and another at TREC—was an absolute blast. We made it to the quarterfinals and are determined to make a come back next time!
6. Doster Leadership Conference (DLC) : At the NCAA headquarters, I collaborated with an amazing team, led by Renée Patton, to tackle a case competition aimed at supporting Purdue’s Daniels School of Business. It was an incredible experience, pushing me to adapt under pressure and grow as a leader. Thank you to everyone who made DLC so memorable!
7. Academics : I’m thrilled to share that I achieved a GPA of 3.83/4 while taking 16 credits this semester. I’ve also been honored with a spot on the Dean’s List and Semester Honors at Purdue.
8. Random Stuff : From experimenting with reflex language to coding a complex 2,000-line real-time text analysis tool with JS, and tinkering with electronics, I made time to explore and create beyond academics!
Looking back, I’m deeply grateful for everyone who has contributed to this incredible journey—mentors, teammates, friends, and club leaders. Looking forward to next semester for more learning and more fun.
